“Farmville vs. Farmville 2”

There is a controversy among people today over Farmville* and Farmville 2*. Both games have great features to offer. Most everyone is familiar with the original Farmville. Many still play the original for the nostalgia of the old style farms. Gamers may never completely let go of this fad. They still enjoy the quaint farms, cute animals, and let’s face it; after playing for years, everyone has progressed so far with their farms it is difficult to let go. Life in the original Farmville is simple and peaceful.

On the other hand, Farmville 2 has numerous wonderful features created with 3-D graphics that the original does not have. There is much more interaction in this new version. The animals respond when petted, a farmer may be seen waving, and the trees sway back and forth in the breeze. This brings the game to life and makes the player feel as if he/she is inside the game. Most all will still return to the original from time to time for the simplicity and familiarity.

Farming might make much more sense in Farmville 2. The farming cycles are designed to be more realistic. Players receive fruits, vegetables, and grains upon harvesting which can be used to grind feed for the animals or sold for coins to spend in the shop. There is a Crafting Kitchen where players may create recipes, bake goods, and the farm produces the needed ingredients. Players may then sell these finished goods in their farmer’s stand. The complexity of this games is unmatched by the old Farmville, but people continue to return to it and check on their old farms.
